what's in the works

If I am not mothering, scheduling, grumping, working, sleeping, or drinking coffee, I am usually writing. And as of right now, I'm still struggling to get published (don't I sound like a true writer!). So, take a look around. You might find something you like--and maybe something that'll land on a bookshelf near you soon.

baring my breasts: a breastoir

by bethany hiitola

I've been through it all: Spraying breast-milk (yes, from my breast) on the woman next to me in a church pew at a funeral, watching a passersby's face fall when a blanket fell from my shoulder exposing my breast and nursing infant to the world, and attempting the whole peeing and nursing thing simultaneously so the baby doesn't wake up. I'm living proof that breastfeeding can work. Even if it wasn't something you intended to do for the long haul. BARING MY BREATS is what I would term a "breast-oir." A humorous memoir of my emotional breastfeeding journey from the beginning when I was sure nursing would only be for the first four months to extended-nursing my two-year-old son.

The book uses true stories of non-intentional hurtful comments and embarrassing breast showing moments in public in 25 anecdotal chapters about my breast feeding experience. Sample chapter titles include: War Breasts, Daddy Cop-Out, Restroom Nurser, Milk Fountains, and Sleep Envy.

Proposal, sample chapters, marketing plans... all ready whenever you are.
