Top 10 (or more) Kid's Shows I'll be Happy to Never Watch Again

Seriously, after the kids outgrow these children's shows, I swear, I'll never watch them again. As educational as they are, the songs are beginning to grate on my inner ear. Join me in the list of the top offenders:
  1. Wonder Pets
  2. Dora the Explorer
  3. Go Diego Go!
  4. Franklin
  5. Yo Gabba Gabba!
  6. The Wiggles
  7. The new Blue's Clues (give me Steve anytime and I'll at least entertain the show. Joe. Sorry, not so much)
  8. Spongebob Squarepants (I'm with Squidward. That laugh is, um, annoying)
  9. The Backyardigans
  10. Lazytown
Some close to the top 10 are Wow! Wow! Wubbzy, Max & Ruby, Jimmy Neutron, Fairly Odd Parents, Danny Phantom, Ben 10, and (unfortunately) What's New Scooby Doo.

I just hate the fact that I can sing these off the top of my head. Without thinking. And just like in the commercial, in an elevator.

I'm wholeheartedly with you on Wonder Pets, Dora, the new Blue's Clues, Lazytown, Wow! Wow! Wubbzy, and Max and Ruby. I'm slightly ashamed to say my husband and I sort of enjoy Jimmy Neutron, Danny Phantom and Ben 10. (We could go either way on SpongeBob -- we find a few pretty funny and have this standing joke that the episode with Mr. Krabs dating Mrs. Puff is him romantically, to a T.) Oh, and Avatar: The Last Airbender. I could still do without cartoons to the point of saturation, but I'm pretty grateful my son is moving beyond Wonder Pets and into Avatar and Danny Phantom territory.

I do the singing in an elevator too. My son asked me why I laughed so hard at that commercial. ("We're letting you go Bill, unless you can tell me which one of these shapes is an octagon. Is it this one? Maybe this one?")

Just found your blog. As another writer mom, I really enjoy it.
